Background: He's not the canon Sora. Having been first set up in a fusion story of FF7 and KH, he was then dropped into a multiverse of several combined FF7 universes, and that's where he grew up. He still looks young, because the way the world he ended up in handles people with his mix of blood, cetra, jenova, and human. His mother is Aeris Gainsborough, and his father, Cloud Strife, is an AU version of himself, a Soldier 1st class.
The family he had back home had a wide mix of fandoms, new characters being brought in through births and borrowed for the massive crossover. Due to his, he's liable to recognize people who have no idea who he is, though with time he'll tone down his reactions somewhat until he's certain they know him. How he grew up also gave him some very odd views, but he isn't a bad person, just eccentric.
